Tractor Junction
raises $22M Series A to scale its rural auto-fintech platform

We’re excited to share that Tractor Junction, a Rockstart AgriFood portfolio company, leading rural mobility and auto-fintech platform, has raised Rs 200 Crore ($22M) in a Series A round led by Astanor. The round also saw participation from existing investors Info Edge Ventures and Omnivore, and included $5M in debt. This investment will support Tractor Junction as it deepens its digital capabilities, expands across new states, and strengthens FINJ, its rapidly growing fintech offering for rural vehicle financing.

Building full-stack mobility infrastructure for rural india

Founded by Rajat Gupta and Shivani Gupta in 2018, and later joined by Animesh Agarwal, Tractor Junction began as a platform helping farmers compare and discover tractors. It has since grown into a full-stack ecosystem operating four platforms.

  • Tractor Junction
  • Truck Junction
  • Bike Junction
  • Infra Junction

These platforms enable farmers to buy new and used vehicles with transparency, verified listings, and trusted on-ground support. In 2024, the company launched FINJ, its financing arm, to close a major gap in rural credit access. Tractor Junction now sells ~350 used tractors and commercial vehicles per month and has facilitated nearly Rs 1,500 Crore in loans over the last 20 months through 25 lending partners.

Strengthening rural prosperity through mechanisation

With rising climate volatility and unpredictable crop cycles, access to reliable vehicles and affordable credit has become essential for farmers’ productivity and income stability. Tractor Junction’s integrated approach, combining marketplaces, offline stores, and fintech, has positioned it as a key enabler of rural prosperity.

Today, the company operates 75 physical stores across six cities, with walk-ins accounting for around 70% of sales.

“We are selling approximately 350 used tractors and commercial vehicles monthly and have disbursed almost Rs 1,500 Crore in loans over the last 20–21 months,”

Rajat Gupta, Co-founder & CEO – Tractor Junction

Astanor’s investment reflects confidence in Tractor Junction’s ability to scale sustainably while materially improving farmer livelihoods and strengthening India’s food-system resilience. We are proud that Rockstart has been an early investor since 2019, also participating in the seed round.
