Silicon Valley Program
The CEOs of the Rockstart startups will spend a month in Silicon Valley to learn from the world’s leading tech scene. Silicon Valley has the highest density of startups, tech entrepreneurs, tech events and conferences in the world, which creates an unique learning and inspiration opportunity. At several Demo Days organized at different places in the Bay area, the teams will pitch to leading VCs, Angels and entrepreneurs in the tech scene to gain interest for upcoming investment rounds, establish partnerships or connect to the right networks that can help them move forward. At our office, RocketSpace, in San Francisco, the startups will meet with the dedicated US mentors that will help them adapt their thinking to the Silicon Valle Scene and help them with introductions, understanding and getting the most out of the high-paced meeting culture and prepare them for meeting with US VCs.
Rockstart Roadtrip
The Rockstart road trip around Silicon Valley includes visits to Podio, Google, Mozilla, WebFWD, and participation in pitch events at RocketSpace and various other locations.
Podio
One of the Podio co-founders, Kasper Hulthin, explains how to go from a small Danish company to being acquired only 3 1/2 years later. He will also talk us through the challenges as a foreign company going to Silicon Valley.
Google Campus
Google will pick us up at our apartments in San Francisco and take us to the Google complex. First, we will meet people from Google Play, Google Cloud, Google Plus and Google TV. Speakers will join us for lunch and afterwards they will take us on a Google tour. You can then stay there to work for the rest of the day, and talk to developer relations.
Mozilla
Mozilla have invited Rockstart to their office for a day of co-working. Some of their internal mentors from the WebFWD program will be available. Mozilla have arranged a networking mixer for us in their common space at the end of the day.
RocketSpace
RocketSpace fuels the technology economy by creating a perfect ecosystem for tech startups, corporate innovation teams, government tech programs, incubators, universities, venture capital, and the leading service providers to the technology marketplace. Centered in the leading global technology hubs, we provide a physical and virtual network that brings together all of the necessary elements for the technology economy to thrive.
The startups will have office space at RocketSpace for the month, where the US mentors will visit to work with the startups. There will also be pitching events held at RocketSpace where the startup will pitch to angel investors, vcs, and serial entrepreneurs.
